Eva Janta

Eva Janta is a Partner at FREEDIN & ROWELL LLP and a member of the firms Family Law group.

Eva has practiced family law and wills for three years. She is skilled in negotiating separation agreements, drafting wills, and in family litigation. She also practices fertility law. She is enthusiastic about this emerging area of law.

Eva has represented clients in Superior Court trials, Ontario Court trials, guilty pleas at both levels, bail hearings, and at the Court of Appeal.

Prior to FREEDIN & ROWELL LLP, she worked for a busy criminal defence lawyer in Windsor, a downtown Toronto criminal defence firm, and as a sole practitioner.

She has worked in criminal law and quasi-criminal law throughout her entire legal career. Eva is passionate about protecting the integrity of the criminal justice system by ensuring that the system observes the constitutional rights of persons accused of crimes.

Eva Janta earned two law degrees from law schools in both Canada and the United States. She is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law (Michigan) and Windsor Law School (Ontario).
